Health, Nutrition, and Fitness

A healthy lifestyle based of off nutrition and exercise has always been a passion of mine. I played soccer in college, am an avid runner and yogi, and love to share my passion of fitness with all those around me. But, in the past three years its importance has increased. I have played around with vegetarian, vegan, paleo, gluten-free, sugar-free, oil-free, cleanses, and just about everything you could imagine. I have restricted myself, indulged myself, and committed gluttony on a regular basis. My weight goes up and down and with that, in the past, so has my self-esteem. However, eating and looking good is only the outside perspective.

In 2014, I did a Fall Restart with The Kitchen Remix, created by two of the most amazing and inspiring women I have ever met. During this 21 day vegan cleanse, I learned how eating clean, meditating, journaling, dry brushing, and what you put into your body is a form of self-love. From that point on, the view I had of my eating habits went from something superficial to something very spiritual. These acts of self-love not only heighten my connection with myself, but it also heighten my connection to the divine.

Before this three week period, I was a vacuum for every infection, cold, and bacteria that came within 100 feet of me. I went from cold to flu, to kidney infections, kidney stones, and an unbelievable amount of urinary tract infections. I was on antibiotics almost constantly for about 8 months and my immune system was nonexistent. I went from doctor to doctor and no one could help me. I finally decided to go the natural way.

During this Fall Restart, I also did a urinary tract and kidney cleanse and I am happy to say it has been 18 months since any UTI’s have come my way. No doctors, no antibiotics, and no chemicals for this girl!

I have decided to take my passion to the next level and am now a Certified Personal Trainer.

So, I am here to share the recipes, the exercises, and inspiration I get from those around me. I have a goal of becoming a natural path and nutritionist, so help hold me accountable to make this dream come true.
